I had no clue what Chang Robotics actually did. I generally understand businesses pretty quickly. Matthew Schultz was the first person who made the customer journey feel completely obvious.
I have followed Matthew Chang for roughly five years and still had a hard time answering a basic question: where does Chang Robotics create value — and therefore, presumably, make most of its money?
The answer was there. It was simply buried five scrolls down inside a diagram on the About page called PBEST™.
Maybe the mystery is deliberate. If so: congratulations, it worked.
Chang Robotics is the engineering and automation partner that stays with a manufacturer from the first feasibility question to a validated, working operation — and then helps the team keep improving it.
PBEST already contains the story. The opportunity is to make each phase visible, understandable, and connected to the capital decision a customer is trying to make.

Does it operate correctly?
Test the system under defined operating conditions and prove that the components work together as intended.
Does it deliver in the real world?
Validate performance with real production demands, real people, and the outcomes the investment was meant to create.

That is the value proposition: de-risk the expensive decision before it becomes an expensive mistake.
Start with planning and feasibility. Advance into conceptual and detailed engineering. When the board approves the capital package, procure, install, qualify, train, and improve.
One relationship. A sequence of increasingly confident decisions. A real operating result at the other end.
Not a random calendar of robots, awards, events, and very smart people doing impressive things without telling the rest of us why any of it matters.
The people, the origin stories, and the humans who can make complicated factory work feel obvious. Let Matthew Chang, Kate, Matthew Schultz, and the engineering team be part of the product story.
Lead with the customer's business problem: throughput, labor, safety, quality, uptime, or growth. Robots are ingredients. A working operation is the outcome.
Make PBEST the spine of the story. Every stage is a decision, a deliverable, and a reason the customer can keep moving without betting the whole factory at once.
The story does not end when the robot arrives. Show qualification, workforce training, continuous improvement, support, parts, licenses, and the humans operating the system.
From a public, outside-in review, Chang has credible acquisition technology. What the website does not prove is that those signals become one coherent account history from first touch through PBEST, proposal, installation, and retention.
Presence does not prove orchestration. Back-office workflows may exist and are not publicly inspectable.
Not because a stranger with a domain said so. Because the person who can make a complex customer journey simple has found the bridge between engineering truth and customer understanding. Bottle that.
